Giants' McAdoo won't rule out QB change after blowout loss to Rams

Eli Manning has been a staple behind center for the New York Giants for well over a decade, but things could be changing.

Giants head coach Ben McAdoo wouldn't rule out giving some young players reps after his team fell to 1-7 thanks to a loss to the Los Angeles Rams, and said "that includes everybody," when asked specifically about the quarterback position.

Manning could hardly be blamed for the 51-17 defeat, though McAdoo wanted to see more big plays in the passing game.

"It’s disappointing," McAdoo said afterwards. "We had chances down the field. We got to make those throws and make those catches. It’s pro football. We got to catch them on all opportunities like that. You don’t get many in the game."

It's no secret the Giants are searching for the 36-year-old's successor and could give third-round pick Davis Webb a look in the final eight games. If the Giants don't believe in Webb as a long-term option, they could also select a pivot in what will likely be a high pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
