The Minnesota Vikings are expected to activate Teddy Bridgewater from the physically unable to perform list to the 53-man roster by Wednesday's deadline, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Rapoport added that Bridgewater will likely act as the backup to Case Keenum, whose solid play has helped the Vikings to a 6-2 record in the absence of Sam Bradford.
Bridgewater has made a near-miraculous recovery from a devastating knee injury suffered in August 2016.
Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said the team will be patient with Bridgewater's return to the field; however, calls for him to start, even with Keenum's impressive performances, are likely to follow.
