The San Francisco 49ers are anticipating a Week 12 debut for their new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, citing a source.
The Niners are starting rookie C.J. Beathard against the New York Giants on Sunday. Their bye comes next week, giving the team another two weeks to prepare Garoppolo to take over San Francisco's offense for their matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
The 49ers traded a second-round pick for Garoppolo on Oct. 30.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan had said it wasn't a guarantee Garoppolo would play for the team this season.
