Ezekiel Elliott to withdraw appeal, serve remainder of suspension
Ezekiel Elliott will forego his appeal and serve the remainder of his suspension, the Dallas Cowboys running back's agents told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Elliott consulted with the NFLPA about his decision, but his agents made it clear in a statement that he isn't admitting wrongdoing.
"This decision is in no way an admission of any wrongdoing, and Mr. Elliott is pleased that the legal fight mounted by he and his team resulted in disclosing many hidden truths regarding this matter as well as publicly exposing the NFL's mismanagement of its disciplinary process," the statement read.
The 22-year-old was suspended for six games by the NFL after a lengthy investigation into allegations of domestic violence. Elliott appealed the ruling through the courts, which saw the ban postponed and reinstated multiple times.
Elliott served the first game of the suspension last week against the Atlanta Falcons and will be eligible to return in Week 16.
