Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor was carted to the locker room and declared out for the game with a knee injury Sunday against the New England Patriots.
He was replaced by rookie Nathan Peterman, who sees for his first game action since being pulled from a five-interception effort in Week 11.
Head coach Sean McDermott told media after the game that Taylor injured his knee on the first play of the game and the team discussed taking him out earlier, but the quarterback insisted on staying in. The Bills trailed 23-3 in the fourth quarter when Taylor exited.
The veteran passer completed 9-of-18 passes for 65 yards with one interception and 32 rushing yards on three carries.
