Watch: Saints' Payton seals Falcons' win with late flag for running onto field
“Sean Payton just CAN’T lose his cool. He HAS to be smarter than that. You just can’t make such a mental error in that a situation”.

After seeing his team flagged ten times against the Atlanta Falcons in a sloppy Thursday night affair, New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton lost his cool on the final possession of the game.
Payton ran onto the field to confront an official after a second-down play with Atlanta up 20-17 and just over a minute remaining. With just one timeout remaining, the penalty gave the Falcons a first down, allowing them to kneel and seal the victory.
"It's a disappointing loss. Proud of our guys tonight. I thought we fought hard, but we fought a lot of things outside the football game," Payton told the media in his opening statement after the loss. "I've never been a part of a game like that."
