Lynch doesn't want 49ers featured on 'Hard Knocks'
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch isn't keen on his team potentially being chosen to appear on the next edition of HBO's "Hard Knocks."
Lynch doesn't want to expose his players through the inside look at training camp, and has told the league as much.
"It’s not something we would be really excited about," Lynch said, according to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. "I love the show, but I think some things are best left behind closed doors. I fundamentally have a problem with cutting players and things of that nature (on camera). It’s not something we’d be thrilled about."
The 49ers are in a mix with the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, and Washington Redskins as teams that aren't exempt from being on the program.
Other teams are allowed to volunteer to be this summer's participant.
