Few in the NFL likely know how to do deal with hate on social media better than Odell Beckham Jr., who's been a lightning rod for criticism due to his antics on the field.
The New York Giants' superstar receiver is apparently hoping Eli Apple can avoid his mistakes. The second-year cornerback spent Sunday taking on Giants fans who criticized his performance and attitude in his first NFL season, and Beckham stepped in to set his young teammate straight.
@EliApple13 stopppp wasting ur energy on these ppl. Please bro.

Apple did appear to heed Beckham's warning.

Apple was suspended for the regular-season finale in part for reportedly getting into a heated exchange with one of the Giants' coaches. Fellow defensive back Landon Collins called Apple a "cancer" the day before the ban was leveled.
Despite Apple's first-round status, he may be in danger of being released in the offseason - especially with a new general manager, Dave Gettleman, in place.
