Report: Vikings plan to make Bradford active vs. Saints

The Minnesota Vikings are planning to dress Week 1 starting quarterback Sam Bradford for Sunday's divisional-round game against the New Orleans Saints, a league source told Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.

Bradford has been sidelined since Week 5 due to a knee injury, with Case Keenum taking over under center. Bradford did return to practice last week, though he is yet to be officially activated to the 53-man roster.

Asked Friday about Bradford potentially suiting up, head coach Mike Zimmer remained tightlipped.

"It's kind of (hard) to judge with five practices. He's working in, but he's got a ways to go still," Zimmer said, according to Tim Yotter of scout.com.

"It's kind of hard to get reps when you're getting your starter ready. You've got 40 reps in practice and he gets five and (Teddy) Bridgewater gets five."

It's unclear whether both Bradford and Bridgewater will be active behind Keenum, added Volin.

Coincidentally, the Saints were the Vikings' Week 1 opponents. In that game, Bradford torched New Orleans to the tune of 346 yards and three touchdowns.
