Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane was arrested Sunday morning and charged with driving under the influence, Brady Henderson of ESPN reports, citing King County court records.
He was reportedly released on his own recognizance after being booked at 5:30 a.m. Sunday. Information such as his blood alcohol content wasn't readily available.
Lane had an up-and-down year in Seattle. The six-year veteran opened the season as a starter for the Seahawks but didn't make it to the end of the opener against the Green Bay Packers after being ejected for throwing a punch. He was traded later in the season to the Houston Texans for left tackle Duane Brown, but was returned to the Seahawks after failing a physical.
The team has yet to comment on the matter, but Lane offered a defense on Twitter.
