Report: Shazier walking again after regaining movement in legs
Ryan Shazier has taken another significant stride in his road to recovery, as the injured Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker has regained movement in his legs and has begun "a regular walking routine," according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, citing sources.
"(Shazier is) making incredible progress," a source familiar with his recovery said, per Schefter.
Shazier was released from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Rehabilitation Institute on Thursday to transition to an outpatient therapy program.
Exactly one month has passed since Shazier's father said his son began to regain feeling in his legs, and almost two months since he underwent spinal stabilization surgery after being injured on a tackle versus the Cincinnati Bengals, making Sunday's update a very encouraging development.
