The Minnesota Vikings have officially requested permission to interview Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo for their vacant offensive coordinator job, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
An earlier report from Schefter indicated that teams must wait 10 days from the end of the Eagles' Super Bowl LII-winning season to get an opportunity to speak with coaches, but the Vikings are apparently moving ahead with plans in an attempt to secure that meeting.
DeFilippo apparently isn't the only highly sought-after coach the Eagles are at risk of losing. Offensive coordinator Frank Reich will interview for the Indianapolis Colts' head coaching job on Friday, according to Schefter.
