Report: Seahawks expected to explore trading Sherman
The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly expected to explore trade scenarios involving veteran cornerback Richard Sherman, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
This comes on the heels of a Wednesday meeting between Sherman and Seahawks officials, and surfaces hours after another report indicating Sherman told teammates he doesn't expect to return to Seattle in 2018.
It remains to be seen whether Sherman will have any value on the trade market. The four-time All-Pro turns 30 at the end of March, and a torn Achilles cut his 2017 campaign short. The Seahawks could release Sherman if they can't find a trade partner.
Seattle made other headlines Wednesday by reportedly agreeing to trade defensive end Michael Bennett - another stalwart from its vaunted defense - to the Philadelphia Eagles.
