Report: Bradford intends to sign 1-year, $20M deal with Cardinals

The quarterback dominoes continue to fall.

Following the reported departure of Case Keenum and arrival of Kirk Cousins to the Minnesota Vikings, Sam Bradford is expected to sign with the Arizona Cardinals, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Schefter adds that the deal is worth $20 million for one season with $15 million guaranteed. There's an option for a second year at $20 million.

The 30-year-old made just one other start in 2017 after suffering a knee injury following a spectacular Week 1 performance against the New Orleans Saints in which he completed 27 of 32 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns.

He missed the next three games but returned to start against the Chicago Bears in Week 5, though he attempted just 11 passes before being pulled in favor of Keenum after aggravating his injury.

While the signing can't be made official until Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, Bradford would be the Cardinals' only quarterback signed for the 2018 season. Carson Palmer has retired, and all three of Drew Stanton, Blaine Gabbert, and Matt Barkley will be unrestricted free agents at the beginning of the new league year.
