The New England Patriots have reportedly signed defensive end Adrian Clayborn to a two-year contract worth $12 million, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Clayborn recorded 21 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 16 games with the Atlanta Falcons during the 2017 season. He notched six of those sacks Nov. 12 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Clayborn was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He should aid a Patriots pass rush that was wildly inconsistent last season.
