Carson Wentz's health will be the defending Super Bowl champion's biggest storyline this offseason, but according to Philadelphia Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman, the young quarterback is progressing faster than expected.

Doug Pederson said Sunday that Wentz is ahead of schedule, and Roseman agreed with his head coach's assessment Monday.

"My answer is I agree with whatever Doug says. I do see it the same way as him," Roseman said, according to ESPN's Tim McManus.

Wentz said in January he believes he'll be ready for the 2018 regular-season opener, meaning he'll have to recover from the torn ACL and LCL in his left knee at the short end of his projected recovery time of nine to 12 months.

Pederson also revealed that the Eagles received no trade offers for Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles that met their valuation, and Roseman reiterated the team's reluctance to part ways with such a valuable insurance policy.

"When you talk about certain rounds, there's a percentage of hitting on guys. We know what we have (in Foles), and that allows us the ability to feel very good about the most important position in sports," Roseman said. "And so for us to get rid of something like that, that's going to be a high price tag."
