Jadeveon Clowney will apparently soon become a very rich man.
The Houston Texans and the star pass-rusher have "made a lot of progress on a mega-extension," according to Albert Breer of the MMQB.com.
A former No. 1 overall pick, Clowney produced a career year in 2017 with 9.5 sacks and 59 total tackles while playing without J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus for the majority of the season.
Breer added Clowney's deal will likely set the floor for Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack, who are both expected to exceed Von Miller's league-leading $19-million-per-season contract.
