Chicago Bears guard Kyle Long is looking forward to a healthy 2018 season.
After three separate surgeries, Long doesn't expect any issues once the regular season begins despite not yet being medically cleared by the team.
"If it were up to me, I'd be full go right now," he said, according to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times. "There's certain things that are time-sensitive that we have to follow a certain timeline with, the neck being one of them. But there will be no limitations once the season rolls around."
The 2013 first-round pick ended the 2017 season on injured reserve and had neck surgery before the end of the year. He added operations on his shoulder and elbow this offseason.
Long has missed 14 games over the last two seasons due to various maladies. The three-time Pro Bowler is entering his age-30 campaign.
