Report: Eric Reid open to 1-year deal to return to 49ers
Free-agent safety Eric Reid would take a one-year deal to return to the San Francisco 49ers for the same salary he had last season, a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Reid earned $5.676 million a year ago. It's been a slow offseason for the 26-year-old, who was in the middle of the kneeling controversy last season and is close friends with Colin Kaepernick. He reportedly scheduled a visit with the Cincinnati Bengals the other day, which is believed to be his only meeting thus far in free agency.

Overall, the safety market has been slow to develop, with prominent players like Kenny Vaccaro and Mike Mitchell among those still available for hire.
Reid, a first-round pick of the 49ers in 2013, collected 67 tackles and two interceptions in 13 games last year.
