New York Giants safety Landon Collins will undergo another surgery on his broken arm, which hasn't healed as quickly as doctors had hoped, he told Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com on Wednesday.

The additional procedure will sideline Collins for six-to-eight weeks, meaning he should be healthy in time for the new season.

Collins suffered the initial injury in late December, cutting his season short after 15 games. The two-time Pro Bowler had 104 tackles and two interceptions for the Giants last year.

He said earlier this week that his arm was "100 percent," according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, who was also first to report the possibility of a second surgery for Collins.
