Bears' Howard: 'They told my agent they have no plans to trade me'
Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard appears to be keeping that title for at least the upcoming season.
"They told my agent they have no plans to trade me," Howard told media members on Tuesday, according to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Howard was previously involved in trade rumors centered around then-Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry. Those reports were shot down, Landry was later traded to the Cleveland Browns, and Howard remains with the Bears.
Howard added fuel to the rumors earlier this month when photos of himself with the Bears were removed from his Instagram account.
When asked about the disappearing photos, Howard said, "Wasn't nothing to it," according to Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.
The 23-year-old has two years left on his contract at cap hits of $692,006 for 2018 and $782,006 for 2019, according to Over The Cap.
