Avoid the inevitable: Jones hopes fans in Dallas don't boo Goodell at draft

Jerry Jones' expectations for the 2018 NFL Draft, which will be hosted by the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, might be a little outlandish.

The Cowboys owner is elated to be hosting the draft and hopes that fans in attendance showcase the same respect for commissioner Roger Goodell as he claims to have. Despite every draft Goodell has announced picks for thus far suggesting otherwise, Jones is optimistic fans will abstain from showering the commissioner with boos.

"May be a pretty good bet, but seriously we all know it’s a convenient place to be," Jones said when asked if he would bet a paycheck on Goodell getting a warm reception, per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

"I don’t know of anybody maybe other than me that’s had more boos than Roger has. I know about how that works. I do hope we can be positive in our reception. We are going to do something pretty special and he did have a final say in that."

It would be quite a change from last year:
