The New York Giants sought a mid-round pick in return for former first-rounder and embattled offensive tackle Ereck Flowers during the NFL draft, a source told Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
The Giants were believed to be shopping Flowers both ahead of and at the draft, but no trade came to fruition. The 24-year-old struggled mightily through his first two seasons in New York, and the Giants replaced him at left tackle with the signing of Nate Solder in free agency.
Flowers was absent from voluntary team workouts in April, to the chagrin of head coach Pat Shurmur.
