New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won't attend the first day of voluntary offseason team activities Monday, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Brady, who also skipped the team's voluntary workout sessions in April, is reportedly expected to show up for mandatory team activities in June.
It's been a strange offseason for Brady and the Patriots, who've reportedly been at odds since last season. Brady has usually attended voluntary workouts in the past.
Meanwhile, tight end Rob Gronkowski - one of Brady's favorite targets - will attend voluntary OTAs but may not be present for the opening day, a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. Gronkowski is believed to be seeking an amended contract.
