Dallas Cowboys right guard Zack Martin skipped the first day of organized team activities on Tuesday, according to Todd Archer of ESPN.

Though Martin has been working out on his own at the team's facility, it's unknown if he will take part in the voluntary program, multiple sources told Archer.

The four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro has been in discussion with the Cowboys over a long-term contract extension in the last couple weeks.

The 16th overall pick of the 2014 draft carries a cap hit of $9.341 million for the 2018 season, according to Over the Cap.

The first session of the Cowboys' OTAs runs through Thursday, session two from May 29-31, and the third and final session from June 4-6, according to Blogging the Boys.

Mandatory minicamp begins June 12.
