49ers' Staley 'real excited' for Foster's return to team
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster reported to organized team activities Thursday after his domestic violence charges were dismissed, and his teammates are excited to have him back.
Left tackle Joe Staley, San Francisco's longest-tenured player, said he has seen Foster this offseason and is eagerly anticipating his return.
"(I'm) just real excited about (Foster returning)," Staley said at a team event Wednesday evening, according to NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco. "Obviously, that’s real positive. So, (I’m) excited to see him come back whenever he comes back to the building, and give him a hug and move forward."
Foster had not taken part in the 49ers’ offseason program to date, but rejoins the team ready to build on the momentum of an impressive rookie campaign.
