Julio Jones says absence from OTAs isn't related to contract situation
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones denied rumors his absence from team workouts this offseason stems from discontent with his contract.
"It's not even about that," the five-time Pro Bowler told TMZ Sports on Thursday. "Everybody wants a story right now. There's no story to be told. I'm just working, I'm getting myself better, I'm just working on myself right now."
Jones, who has three years left on his contract, skipped every part of the Falcons' voluntary offseason program, leading some to speculate about his future in Atlanta. The 29-year-old also turned heads when he removed a slew of Falcons-related photos from his Instagram account.
"There's no bad blood between me and the team or anything like that," Jones said. "It's just everybody on the outside trying to look in and trying to destroy what we built there.
"I'm not going nowhere. I love the team, I love the organization, I love everybody there. We good."

Jones has established himself as one of the game's best players over the last four years, posting more than 1,400 yards receiving in each season since 2014.
Falcons head coach Dan Quinn previously said Jones will attend mandatory minicamp in June.
