Cardinals GM told police he was 'director of security' before arrest
Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim misrepresented himself before his Fourth of July arrest on suspicion of DUI, the police report says.
During his traffic stop, Keim said he was "director of security for the Arizona Cardinals," according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss.
Keim has held the role of GM since 2013.
According to police, an officer saw Keim driving his pickup truck erratically at around 12:12 a.m. Wednesday. The officer observed him drifting out of his lane and nearly hitting a curb. Police pulled Keim over. According to the report, he was slurring his speech slightly, and one officer described a strong alcoholic odor. Keim said he had only consumed two beers.
He was arrested, charged with a misdemeanor for DUI, and released shortly thereafter.
Keim could be handed a fine or suspension from the NFL.
