The Detroit Lions won't reach a deal with franchise-tagged pass-rusher Ezekiel Ansah before Monday's 4 p.m. ET deadline, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Ansah will earn just over $17 million in 2018 and is slated to hit free agency next offseason.
The 28-year-old rebounded from a disappointing 2016 campaign with a 12-sack year last season, but will again have to prove himself worthy of being mentioned among the league's best edge players in order to earn a big-money extension.
