Report: Browns looking at Pacman Jones to bolster secondary

David Kohl / USA TODAY Sports

Adam "Pacman" Jones could be staying in the AFC North.

The free-agent cornerback is set to work out for the Cleveland Browns on Friday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The volatile defensive back spent the last eight seasons with the division rival Cincinnati Bengals. He started nine games in 2017, racking up four passes defensed, one interception, and 23 total tackles.

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old Jones has a connection to Browns head coach Hue Jackson, who was the offensive coordinator in Cincinnati before joining Cleveland.

The Browns currently have one of the younger secondaries in the league, and Jones would likely act as veteran depth behind the likes of first-round rookie Denzel Ward and E.J. Gaines.
