Report: Bryant discussing 1-year deal with Browns; could visit Monday

The Browns are in talks with former Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant about signing a one-year contract to join Cleveland, sources told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

If the talks progress, Bryant will visit the team to "get a feel for the organization, and if all goes well, he could become a Brown," Cabot added.

The Browns are working on scheduling a meeting with Bryant as soon as Monday, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

General manager John Dorsey said Wednesday that the team had internally discussed the possibility of bringing in the former Dallas Cowboys star.

The Browns are currently without starting wideout Josh Gordon for an undetermined period of time as he reportedly undergoes further counseling, so they are in need of an established veteran to go along with Jarvis Landry and Corey Coleman.

Bryant reportedly rejected a multi-year offer from the Baltimore Ravens in April. He's believed to be seeking a one-year deal so he can re-enter the open market and secure a long-term contract next offseason.
