Luck's shoulder 'responding well' in QB's return to camp
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck made his return to the practice field this week for the first time this offseason.
Luck was cleared last week after missing the entire 2017 season due to a setback suffered following his 2016 shoulder surgery. The star pivot was setback-free during his first training camp in two years, but it didn't come without nerves.
"Jitters like before a game for that first practice, haven't felt that way in a long time," Luck said Sunday, according to ESPN's Mike Wells. "(My shoulder is) responding well. Name of the game for me is to improve every day, feeling-wise, technique-wise."
The 28-year-old admitted to some soreness and tiredness in his shoulder, according to the Indianapolis Star's Zak Keefer, but he said he didn't feel any pain.

Luck unsurprisingly looked rusty during Thursday's practice, according to Keefer, but the quarterback noted "things seemed to calm down and slow down a bit" Friday.
"There is a lot to think about as a quarterback," Luck said. "All those things, trying to sort of keep a calm mind and translate the technique I want to use in team situations."
Luck will take a scheduled day off Monday. He'll resume practicing without limitations on Tuesday and Wednesday before being limited on Thursday.
Earlier this week, Colts head coach Frank Reich confirmed that Luck will play in the team's first preseason game Aug. 9 against the Seattle Seahawks. It will be the signal-caller's first NFL game action since the end of the 2016 campaign.
