Diggs wants to stay with Vikings: 'I love being here'
Stefon Diggs is entering the final year of his rookie contract with the Minnesota Vikings, but the wide receiver has grown enamored with the club and wants to stick around beyond 2018.
"I want to be here. I love being here," Diggs said, according to Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune. "I love being a part of this organization. They took a chance on me early. I love it here, as far as where we’re at. You’ve got to take it up with the right people. I haven’t spent too much time with it."
Diggs, selected 146th overall in the 2015 draft, has previously said he's focused only on the season ahead and is letting his contract "handle itself."
The 24-year-old carries a $1.96-million cap hit for the 2018 campaign, a figure that ranks 81st among receivers.
Diggs enjoyed a career year in 2017, hauling in 64 of 95 targets - including eight touchdowns - for 849 yards in 14 games.
