The Oakland Raiders are trying to get offensive tackle Donald Penn to agree to a small pay cut less than one year after signing him to a two-year, $21-million extension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Penn is set to carry a cap hit of approximately $8.3 million in 2018, per Over The Cap. That number will increase to $10.4 million in 2019.

The three-time Pro Bowler is currently on the Raiders' physically unable to perform (PUP) list while recovering from Lisfranc surgery.

Penn started the first 14 games of the 2017 campaign after a holdout that lasted most of training camp and two preseason contests. He underwent season-ending surgery ahead of Week 16.
