Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker has broken the middle finger on his right hand, a source told Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post.
Parker is reportedly hopeful he'll be ready for Week 1. Dolphins head coach Adam Gase described him as week to week and said he isn't able to catch the ball right now.
With the departure of Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns, Parker and Kenny Stills are fighting to be Ryan Tannehill's go-to wideout.
Gase challenged Parker to be more aggressive this season. The 25-year-old caught 57 passes for 670 yards and a touchdown in 2017.
