The Green Bay Packers have traded backup quarterback Brett Hundley to the Seattle Seahawks, the Packers announced Wednesday.

Green Bay will receive a sixth-round draft pick in 2019 from Seattle in the deal, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Hundley was entering the final year of his rookie deal and will slide in as Russell Wilson's backup for the 2018 season.

The trade also signals that DeShone Kizer will serve as the Packers' backup quarterback behind starter Aaron Rodgers.

Hundley started nine games after Rodgers injured his collarbone last season. He threw for 1,836 yards, nine touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

The 25-year-old may not be the last quarterback dealt before the regular season begins, according to Rapoport. The Arizona Cardinals' Mike Glennon, New Orleans Saints' Tom Savage, and Pittsburgh Steelers' Josh Dobbs have also been discussed in trade talks.
