NFL season opener delayed 45 minutes by extreme weather

Kickoff between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons in the NFL season opener Thursday night was delayed 45 minutes due to severe weather.
The game kicked off at 9:05 p.m. ET after it was initially scheduled to begin at 8:20 p.m.
The Eagles won the first coin toss of the season and elected to defer.
