Report: Bosa could miss 2-4 weeks, to visit foot specialist Wednesday
Los Angeles Chargers star pass rusher Joey Bosa scheduled a visit with foot specialist Robert Anderson on Wednesday, to get a second opinion on his bone bruise, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
Bosa has already been ruled out of Sunday's opener against the Kansas City Chiefs and could miss two to four weeks, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Although Bosa has been diagnosed with a bone bruise, the Chargers fear that the edge rusher may have suffered a fracture.
Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn labeled Bosa as "week to week" with the injury Friday.
Bosa has emerged as one of the NFL's premier pass rushers, and if he misses any more time, it'll be a significant loss for the Chargers' defense. Isaac Rochell is expected to start in Bosa's absence.
The 23-year-old was named to the Pro Bowl in 2017 after recording 12.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in 16 games.
