Rookie Lamar Jackson will serve as the Baltimore Ravens' backup quarterback on Sunday, and Robert Griffin III will be inactive
Baltimore reportedly has a package of plays that could allow the team to get Jackson, its 2018 first-round pick, on the field against the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Griffin was initially expected to be Flacco's backup, but will instead be on the sideline in street clothes. The Ravens reportedly still view Griffin as the more likely replacement for Flacco if the starter is forced to miss an extended period during the season.
Jackson, a former Heisman Trophy winner, impressed throughout the preseason.
