Bills bench Peterman for rookie Allen in 44-point loss to Ravens
The Buffalo Bills pulled the plug on Nathan Peterman after two-plus absolutely deplorable quarters against the Baltimore Ravens, inserting first-round pick Josh Allen at quarterback in his place during a 44-point defeat on Sunday.
Peterman went 5-of-18 for 24 yards with two interceptions before being benched early in the third frame with the Bills trailing 40-0. The second-year pivot posted a 0.0 quarterback rating.
In his first career start last year, Peterman infamously threw five interceptions in the first half against the Los Angeles Chargers before being yanked for Tyrod Taylor.
Allen, the seventh overall pick in 2018, didn't fare much better than Peterman, going 6-of-15 for 74 yards the rest of the way.
The Ravens obliterated Buffalo 47-3.
