Report: Rodgers returns to practice ahead of Week 2 divisional battle
Aaron Rodgers made his first appearance at practice this week on Saturday, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports.
Rodgers has been dealing with a knee sprain he suffered in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears and was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Green Bay Packers star quarterback will be evaluated again Sunday morning to see how his knee responded to its first action of the week, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Head coach Mike McCarthy said earlier in the week that it wasn't mandatory for Rodgers to attend practice in order to play against the Vikings. Nonetheless, his presence at Saturday's one-hour session is a positive sign.
Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone in his last meeting with the Vikings in Week 6 of the 2017 season when Minnesota linebacker Anthony Barr drove him into the turf.
