Report: Seahawks' Wagner, Baldwin ruled out vs. Bears
The Seattle Seahawks have ruled out wide receiver Doug Baldwin and linebackers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright for Monday's game versus the Chicago Bears, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Wagner missed practice Friday with a groin injury, while both Wright and Baldwin are battling knee injuries.
Wagner played in the Seahawks' opening game loss to the Denver Broncos, recording five tackles. A three-time first-team All-Pro, Wagner is widely considered the leader of the Seahawks' defense alongside Earl Thomas, after several departures this summer.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Tuesday that Baldwin could miss a couple of weeks with an MCL injury. Baldwin dealt with recurring left knee problems throughout the summer, but it's his right knee that's currently injured. He is the Seahawks' best receiver and his prolonged absence is a crushing blow to the offense.
Wright was named to the Pro Bowl in 2016 and has quietly developed as one of the team's best all-around defensive players.
