The new slate of ESPN Films' "30 for 30" documentaries will include specials on two NFL Hall of Famers.
"Seau," premiering Sept. 20 exclusively on ESPN+, details the life of former linebacker Junior Seau, who killed himself in 2012 at the age of 43 after suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Director Kirby Bradley spent extensive time with Seau's family while making the film, according to Rebecca Sun of The Hollywood Reporter.
As Deion Sanders first revealed in July, he'll be the focus of a yet-to-be-titled film that focuses on the time he played for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves in the same 24-hour period in October 1992. It will premiere Jan. 31 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
