Mother of McCoy's son says he's covering up home invasion
Stephanie Maisonet, the mother of LeSean McCoy's six-year-old son, filed an affidavit in a Georgia court on Tuesday, stating that the Buffalo Bills running back asked for her help in carrying out a home invasion during which his ex-girlfriend, Delicia Cordon, would be present.
Maisonet said she reluctantly agreed in exchange for McCoy allowing her to enroll their son in a Miami school, a point of contention in their custody case. She also said she reported McCoy to child services for abusing their son and attached a photo of the child with what appear to be bruises on his jaw.
Maisonet also posted several statements to Instagram on Tuesday, saying that her son often came home crying about being spanked and bruised by McCoy.
McCoy denied Maisonet's statements on social media Tuesday.
Cordon filed a personal injury lawsuit against McCoy and former Pitt football player Tamarcus Porter in August, stating that they are "liable for the assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress suffered by the plaintiff."
Cordon said McCoy knew about the July 10 attack but did not accuse him of being the assailant. She also stated she would argue with McCoy about him beating his son, along with other unspecified problems.
No criminal charges have been filed against McCoy, who has been active during the early stages of the 2018 NFL season.
