Earl Thomas misses practice for personal issue, status uncertain for Week 3
Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas missed practice Friday while dealing with a personal issue and head coach Pete Carroll said his status remains uncertain for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
"We'll see how he's doing and make sure he's OK," Carroll told reporters Friday. "He's got some other stuff going on. That's what we're working on. It's personal. That's why we're not going to talk about it."
Thomas was not listed on the injury report and his absence from Wednesday's practice was listed as "not injury related."
NFL.com's Steve Wyche reports that two players said they expect Thomas to play Sunday.
Thomas recorded 11 tackles and an interception over the team's first two games.
The standout safety missed the entire summer while holding out for a contract extension. Thomas returned to the team but appeared to still be incensed with the situation, writing "the disrespect has been well-noted and will not be forgotten" on an Instagram post announcing the end of his holdout.
