Gordon speaks about 'real natural type' of relationship with Brady
Josh Gordon is beginning to fit in perfectly with the New England Patriots, making him a legitimate weapon for Tom Brady.
Gordon was dealt to the Patriots on Sept. 17 and has quickly integrated himself into the team's passing game, recording four catches for 82 yards and a touchdown over two games.
Developing a strong rapport with Brady will be imperative to Gordon's success, and the 27-year-old glowed about his developing relationship with the star quarterback.
"Most of the day, we end up talking football, whether it be in the locker room here briefly or in most of the meeting rooms or time after practice. We carve out time, and we make it happen," Gordon said to ESPN's Mike Reiss.
"We make sure if there's something that might be a concern for him or me, or he wants to know how I like to do something, or I want to know how he wants to do something, I just ask and he's open about it. It makes it easy for me to communicate with him and makes it a real natural type of relationship."
Gordon is making a strong impression on the Patriots thus far, with Julian Edelman raving about his new teammates' competitiveness Thursday.
The Patriots are kicking into high gear as the season progresses and if Gordon and Brady continue to develop a strong partnership, the AFC juggernaut may be as strong as it has ever been in recent years.
