Winston benched for Fitzpatrick after 4th INT vs. Bengals
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was benched in favor of Ryan Fitzpatrick during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Winston was removed from the game after throwing his fourth interception, which was returned by Bengals safety Jessie Bates 21 yards for a touchdown.
The former first overall pick was suspended for the first three games of the season and has struggled since returning to the lineup, having now thrown 10 interceptions in four games.
Winston was 18 of 35 for 276 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions, while adding 18 rushing yards on three carries when he was pulled.
In relief, Fitzpatrick completed 11 of 15 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns and helped the Buccaneers battle back from an 18-point deficit to tie the game with a minute left.
The Bengals won the game on a last-second field goal.
