Report: Saints negotiating deal with Dez Bryant
The New Orleans Saints are negotiating a contract with free-agent receiver Dez Bryant, who worked out for the team Tuesday, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Bryant left the Saints' facility without signing a deal, but New Orleans was reportedly impressed enough with his workout to begin contract talks with his representatives.
Bryant was one of three notable receivers who tried out for the Saints on Tuesday, joining Brandon Marshall and Kamar Aiken. Bryant discussed a deal with the Cleveland Browns during the preseason, but the two sides never hammered out an agreement.
If a deal with New Orleans is finalized, Bryant will get his wish of playing against his former team, as the Saints are slated to face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13.
Bryant, who spent eight seasons with the Cowboys, posted 838 receiving yards and six touchdowns last season.
