Former NFL players Anthony Gonzalez and Colin Allred were elected to the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday.
Gonzalez, who played wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts from 2007-11, won the Ohio 16th congressional district as a Republican challenger. Gonzalez was a first-round pick of the Colts out of Ohio State.
Allred spent four seasons with the Tennessee Titans, cracking the roster in 2007 as a college free agent from Baylor. The ex-linebacker won the Texas 32nd congressional district as a Democratic challenger.
