Report: Saints open to bringing Dez Bryant back in 2019
Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports
Dez Bryant wasn't able to suit up for the New Orleans Saints this year, but he may get the opportunity next season.
Bryant suffered a season-ending torn Achilles this week in his second practice with his new team, but as long as he makes a full recovery the Saints are open to bringing him back in 2019, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports, citing sources.
New Orleans signed Bryant to a reported one-year, $600,000 contract on Wednesday. The 30-year-old will return to the free-agent market in 2019.
He's expected to miss the next six-to-nine months with the Achilles injury. That timeline would put him on track to recover in time for next season's training camp.
